Hi, I’m Stephanie Dempsey! I’m so glad you’re here. Teaching and helping children grow has always been one of my greatest passions. With over 11 years of experience in education, I love working with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade to build strong foundations in reading, phonics, writing, comprehension, and math. I graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and I currently hold a professional teaching license from the State of Florida. I am also ESOL and Reading Endorsed. 

As an approved Step Up for Students provider, I’m dedicated to using research-based teaching practices that truly make a difference. I believe learning should be fun, hands-on, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. My goal is to help every student gain confidence, enjoy learning, and feel proud of their progress — whether that’s sounding out new words, solving a tricky math problem, or discovering the joy of reading.

A little more about me — I grew up in Kansas, where my love for teaching began early. I’m also a proud Kansas City Chiefs fan, so football season is always an exciting time in our house! I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Ryan, for almost six years, and together we enjoy spending time in the mountains, trying out new restaurants, or watching football! I also enjoy going to church and worshipping the Lord through being in community, listening to the weekly messages and singing. My relationship with God is extremely important to me, and something that I cherish. 

When I’m not tutoring or working at church, you’ll often find me curled up with a good book or listening to music — two things that always inspire creativity and calm. I bring that same sense of curiosity and joy into my lessons, because I truly believe that learning should be something children look forward to.
